A very good stepping stone...

..but that's all it is really. On the good side, I don't have much to complain about, seeing as everything was pretty spot on and well done. Than again, it's such a small game, there's not a lot to enjoy either. And it doesn't have much in the way of replay value. So all in all, still good, but not incredible. Add more everything. Better graphics, an optino to map movement to the arrow keys, different modes and/or challenges. That you could make a game this good is very commendable, just go farther and try harder!

A little bit hard for a side scrolling beat em up.

But that's just my opinion. I like it, graphics are nice, diverse enemies, lots of attacks and just fun gameplay. However, the stamina system was a killjoy on plenty of accounts. Granted, it makes it more realistic, but in my book, characters shouldn't run out of attack. In Streets of Rage, none of the characters ran out of punch, kick or throw. And I think that Larry shouldn't run out of sword. Or at least, not as quickly as he does.

But that may or may not be personal preference. Since the first episode of Larry, I have regarded you as a professional and you are in your own right. This series is great, but I would love and prefer that you focus more on the series itself instead of the minigames. Oh well. Episode Two is coming soon and I can't wait!

PS: In both this game and the freefaller game preceeding it, Larry gets a rage power. I would like that this be an integral moment of the series, if you could. At any rate, it would make sense.

*Sniff sniff* I recognize that scent!

"Promise."

Sonic looked very good. Environments were good but, if you're contemplating making a full game out of this, they need more. Also, there is going to have to be an actual "Jump," button. I demand that the spin dash make a return appearance! Also, jumps were delayed. We can't have that in a Sonic game.

I smell, see and hear lots of promise with what you've got here. I would love to see it finalized.

Sincerely, from a true Sonic fan,

DarkX.

I loved ur comment u gave alot to think about, and I'll definitely make the changes u suggested, I'll make an edit or two in a week or so, so make sure you tell me what you think

Nice puzzler!

Remarkably innovative, this game's a winner to me! I got stuck at level 5, but I'll come back to this game. It'll be worth it. I especially love the intellectual challenge to it all! It was a little on the hard side though...

Regardless, thanks for the wonderful game and I hope to see more from you in the future!

Very peculiar...

... was there supposed to be a message in this? What was the point? I can give a good grade to the clean art and solid gameplay, which earns you your 7/10 and 3/5. But I just don't understand this. What does it mean?

The sheer scope of this game is INCREDIBLE...

...seriously, a golden moment in gaming.

From Space Invaders to Galaga to Enigmata, these games are always appreciated and loved. And in comparing those older games to this one, it's safe to say that vertical flight shooters are far from dead but rather, growing and thriving as ever.

Thank you for continuing the tradition. This is beautiful and was worth the wait.

It honestly feels a lot like Ninja Gaiden...

... and I mean in that in the most positive way. :)

If you find a good review of Ninja Gaiden, you'll see what I mean.

I'm outraged...

...that such a challengingly fun game only got 3.86. What in the hell is the world coming to? Are we at the point where challenging yet stimulating gameplay IS NOT revered? Where puzzles are "boring?" And people can't appreciate good all around material? That just so happens to be original too? I'm sorry, but I see all that in this game, yet I DO appreciate it. Very much so. My only nitpick is an unsatisfying ending. There should have been a bit more. But then, the game's good enough as is, challenging as is and a great experience as is. If these sort of things are what the majority see as boring, useless or pointless, then you can just call me a rebel because I'll have none of that. This game rocks and I hope you notice that someone thinks so.

Thank you kindly, I enjoyed the game thoroughly. I hope more good stuff comes soon!

Well...

This is obviously well thought out, the backstory seemed interesting enough to get involved in and the art was good. However, repetitive music, lack of more sound effects and voices brought this down to about average level. Believe me, you're just a few steps away from front page material. Just go those last few steps and you should get awards and praise yet! I swear that if you don't, I'm a monkey's uncle. :)

I do like this and I would love to see it become something better than good: GREAT! I'm sure you can do it! Good luck!

That's a pretty persuasive review DarkX64. Let me take that into consideration. Thanks!

Decent...

...and that's about it. I'll keep it simple:

Pros
-Good Programming
-Sound gameplay

Cons
-Repetitive song
-Forcing the leader boards on you
-Though it was reasonably sound, it was slow and frame rate was glitchy.
-Unoriginal concept with no artistic license.

Overall
This could be so much better if maybe there was more in terms of gameplay, sound and art. As is, it's pretty bland and pointless. And to top it all off, it wasn't even your own idea.

Sorry.

Better luck next time.

I will take those cons into consideration.
